# Service notes

You can document service details using free-text notes or a predefined template.

### If note templates are enabled

* A template may auto-populate with standard service language
* You can edit the template before submitting

### What your notes should cover

* What was done
* Areas treated
* Observations made
* Recommendations provided
* Any follow-up needed

All submitted notes sync automatically to your integrated field service software.

> Incomplete documentation may affect compliance-related performance metrics if configured by your administrator.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.apruv.io/apruv-field-app-guide/doing-a-service/service-notes.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
